COKE TABLE TOPPER & COASTERS

Small projects are fun to make and give as gifts. This Coke Table Topper & Coasters was started by another quilter, who did not finish it and gave it to me. I know a lady who collects all things Coke and I decided to finish this for her.
This also marks the first time I actually bought anything off eBay.
The center part of the table topper was complete and in a box of donations I received. I set it aside at the time until I could think of something to do with it.

It dawned on me that if I could find Coke fabric to border it, I could give it to this wonderful lady I know who collects coke items. I did find Coke fabric on eBay and purchased it. This fabric became the border around the center portion of this Coke Table Topper.
The table topper finished at 32″ square. It is machine quilted it in straight lines and did the binding by hand.
There was enough left over border fabric to make 4 coasters (4″ square).

Coke Table Topper & Coasters
I gave this Coke Table Topper & Coasters to that wonderful lady for Christmas of 2012. It was fun and quick once I decided what to do with the center portion that another quilter started.
Quilted items or quilts do not have to be made by one person. And they don’t have to be complicated or time consuming. Christmas is coming up quickly – do you have someone in your life that you could make some small, quilted project as a gift?

Happy Quilting to all my readers.
