Sometimes, we all just need to stop – take a deep breath – and look around us for things that make us happy. Then there is laughter. Both the Bible and doctors say that laughter is good for our health.
I know…I know. I did not post last week. The time just got away. Between working, cleaning up in the garden, painting the kitchen, and finishing the binding on a quilt the week was over before it occurred to me that I had not posted anything.
This week appears to be much like last week on the calendar. This girl is not on a farm, but fall does seem to be an extremely busy season in my life. The wood is cut and ready to be put in the woodshed. Plus, the garden still needs attention. The kitchen painting is on hold until the garden is done. And the binding on the next quilt will just have to wait….

I love Pinterest. There are so many things there. I don’t get to spend much time on this fun site, but I do find things that make me laugh. I hope you enjoy them as well.
Taking care of our own mental, emotional, and physical health is important. One way to do that is just to stop, breathe deep, and find joy around you. Enjoy this week.
Find something fun to do. I love to quilt, but I don’t want to be the person who only goes to work and comes home to quilt every day. I need to broaden my horizons and see the world around me.
There is no reason to get caught up in all the negative politics or current events. We need to be aware of what is going on, but that is not what our individual lives are about. Find things to keep busy with and stay positive.
