I had never seen or heard of Flosstube until last week. According to Google, it is a sub channel of YouTube. What a wonderful stitcher’s discovery!
For me, the easiest way to find the most recent videos is to go to YouTube, and in the search bar type Flosstube. And magically the most recent videos are there for viewing.
Flosstube itself is cross stitchers talking about current projects, designers they like, and finished projects. This is inspiring to me because I have 5 counted cross stitch projects that I rolled up and tucked away years ago.
I brought out one and have worked on it an hour each evening since. I love seeing the progress on the fabric. Rediscovering how relaxing counted cross stitch can be has been amazing.
But more than that – all of sudden all kinds of quilting channels showed up on my feed. I have been watching the ones that interest me – or I think will interest me.
Now I have favorited 5 quilting channels and watch one episode a day. Good grief – more quilting ideas!
You may be saying what took you so long to discover quilters were on YouTube?!
In fairness, I knew there were quilters on YouTube. But I use this website for music, news, and sometimes old movies.
I know myself well enough to know that it would lead to more ideas. It also could become a real time waster if I watched instead of doing.
My point is to utilize something you are probably already familiar with for more ideas for your quilting. Ok, and counted cross stitch too if you do this type of embroidery.
Have a great week stitching whatever your current project is.
